Barry & Associates is a commercial real estate appraisal firm in Portland, Oregon. Mark formed the company in 1983, and specializes in appraising multifamily apartments. Since opening the doors, we have completed over 5,000 apartment appraisals across the Portland Metropolitan Area.
Our firm works with a variety of clients including all size lenders, attorneys, accountants, non-profits, developers, prospective seller/buyers and individual owners. We are always available just to chat if you have any questions regarding your property.
Mark D. Barry, MAI
Mark graduated from UC Berkeley and went on to complete an MBA in real estate at American University in Washington, DC. Prior to starting this appraisal business in 1983, Mark worked as an income property loan officer specializing in apartment loans.
Patrick O. Barry, State Certified General Appraiser
Patrick graduated from CU Boulder with a degree in engineering. Prior to joining Barry & Associates in 2012 as an appraiser assistant, Patrick worked as an electrical engineer, designing commercial buildings. Patrick earned his State Certified General Appraiser license in 2016 and is currently a Candidate For Designation as an MAI with the Appraisal Institute.
